Homemade Pizza


One night we decided it was time to try our hand at creating our pizza. Pizza is one of the most popular foods ever made. It is loved by everyone, young and old. Its recipe has a history and every chef or baker has their own way of making it. Here is the way we made ours. Some had bacon on them and some did not. The picture to your right had the most toppings. Bacon and pepperoni's were used as the meat. If pizza is made without MSG in the ingredients, it will fill you up quickly and even the most avid pizza fans won't be able to over eat. This was the case with the pizza we created. We made four different pizzas and could barely try one piece from each they were so filling. We recommend trying your own toppings, get creative.

 

Homemade Sauce (Homemade sauce is option)


1. 1/2 (12 ounce) can CONTADINA Tomato Paste

2. 1 teaspoon dried oregano, crushed

3. 1 teaspoon dried basil, crushed

4. 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

5. 1/2 teaspoon sugar

6. 1/2 teaspoon salt

7. 1/4 teaspoon black pepper


Homemade Pizza Dough / Crust


1. 3 1/4 cups all-purpose flour, or more as needed

2. 2 (.25 ounce) envelopes FLEISCHMANN'S Pizza Crust Yeast or RapidRise Yeast

3. 1 tablespoon sugar 4. 1 1/2 teaspoons salt

5. 1 1/3 cups very warm water (120 degrees F to 130 degrees F)

6. 1/3 cup oil


Toppings


1. 1 (6 ounce) package HORMEL Pepperoni

2. 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, or more to taste

3. 1/2 a diced purple onion 4. 1 Diced bell pepper

5. Garlic salt

6. Italian seasoning

7. Oregano

8. Shredded basil

9. Garlic Powder
